Tab Table Lamp

Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby sketched this table lamp in minutes in 2011 but developed it over years, adding the namesake tab last. Its sharp lines and adjustable head, which rotates through 90 degrees either way to direct the light, reinterpret a classic typology, while the simplicity of the form contrasts with its technical precision. It shows how a familiar object can be made in a smarter way.
